The man had a thick German accent. Her mind raced. Thermal. That meant they could see her body heat. She had to move. Thinking about the layout and how it had been when they pulled up, she recalled the direction of the loch. If I can slip out, I can run for the water.

Next to her thigh, her phone vibrated and she ducked her head below the blanket to read the screen.
