Fore Large LLP is an international accounting and consulting company operating in 56 countries and with 5,000 partners and 100,000 client-facing staff. Group turnover is £1 billion and expenses are approximately £150 million p.a. It is internationally known for its high ethical and green standards. It has achieved accreditations and won awards for its recruitment and management procedures and has a very strong safety record. Unlike some competitors, it has never had a serious investigation from accounting or fiscal bodies in the countries where it operates. As an ‘LLP’, it is not U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) listed, but it has clients that are, and Fore Large LLP has been reviewed by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). The partnership has therefore decided to comply with SOX wherever possible as an example to clients.

It has grown by acquisition and has a large number of disparate systems that do not communicate with one another. There is a strategy to improve this situation and to standardise on a single SAP platform. This is a major investment in terms of money and management time. There are also other significant projects to formulate global standards and policies, consolidate management structures and reporting, and still grow the business by 20% year on year over the next five years. At the same time, the aim is to cut costs by 10%. This is to be achieved by standardising processes and systems on a single platform.
