WRITING ABOUT LOVE

Love is a hard subject for most people to handle. It brings up our insecurities, makes us feel vulnerable, and subjects us to the possibility of deep pain.

All great works of fiction have some sort of romantic theme within them. Love is universal. Love is something everyone desires to have in their life.

ACTION STORY WRITERS

Some of you may be writing action stories and are wondering why you need to read this part of the book. Again. Love makes the world go around. How many heroes get the girl in the end? Many! Sometimes their motivation is to get the girl, or at least impress her. He doesn’t do this for just mere sex and often finds meaningless sexual relationships along his journey.

In these more manly stories, the romantic plot may take a backseat to the main storyline, but the stages listed in the following pages show up in the story on some level, even if it only takes place on one page in your script or novel.
