“Hey babe, where are you off too?” Thomas asked as he came into the living room.

“I have a counseling session at five today,” I told him.

“I didn’t think you had another one until after Thanksgiving, when I go with you.”

“I didn’t but I called and got one.”

“Why? Is everything okay?”

“Everything is fine, Thomas. I am not about to spazz out or anything. I just feel like going to a therapy session,” I said, getting upset.

“Calm down. Damn, I was just asking. It’s not that big of a deal.”

“I’m sorry. I just don’t want to be treated like I’m fragile every time I get ready to go somewhere.”

“I get that and I am not trying to treat you that way. I was just asking.” He walked over to give me a hug. “Have a good therapy session.”

“Thanks,” I said, grabbing my purse and keys.
