‘Now we just need to get through the forest and the circus will be on the other side,’ explained George.

‘What, we need to go through it? Can’t we go round it? It looks haunted, are there not monsters in there?’ said Marlee, ‘I definitely heard there were monsters.’

‘Don’t be silly, Marlee, there are no such things as monsters, just stick close to me, better still, jump on my lap, and you steer us, Danny,’ replied George. And as quick as a flash, Marlee jumped onto George’s lap and Danny pushed them into the forest.

Soon they were in the heart of the forest. The air around them became dense and the darkness of the forest closed in. The trees looked like they had eyes. The branches were wiry and the silence of the forest was eerie. Even George was starting to get scared, although he kept that to himself.

‘Quick, Danny, get us out of here, for sure this place is haunted,’ said George. Without any hesitation, Danny’s little legs went ten to the dozen and finally they could see the sun’s rays beaming through the other side of the forest.
