Highlights of 7.0 T TDI Images and Corresponding Low-Field DTI Images (1.5 T and 3.0 T)

In Fig. 2 , we have displayed some of the representative DTI-DEC (diffusion tensor image–directionally encoded color) images that can be obtained from the low-field MRI (1.5 T & 3.0 T) and the images that are obtained from 7.0 T MRI with the new super-resolution technique, namely, TDI technique. As can be appreciated from this figure, images obtained from 7.0 T with the super-resolution TDI technique are substantially better than the low-field DTI images in many areas, such as in the thalamus and the fibers at the frontal area of the brain including the minor forceps as well as the major forceps in the occipital area.
