Tips âBe sure to read the guidelines as posted. Themes for each issue are typically posted 3 months (or more) in advance. Include cover letter and bio with e-mail submissions. Submit more than just one poem, so I can get a feel for your work. Be sure to read back issues of the magazine. The journal tends to select work that focuses on specific themes, and usually tries to pick work that will compliment/contrast with other pieces selected for the issue. Send your best work and donât be afraid of trying again. I often suggest other publications/markets if a piece is not a good match for the journal.â
