32. Left twist posture

Sanksrit Marichyasana

Level: Beginner

Type: Sitting & Twisting

Sit straight with the spine vertical and both legs extended forwards.

Give a fist distance between your feet. Bend your left knee and put your right foot to the side of your right knee. Place your left hand behind your back. Bend your right arm and put it on the outer side of your left knee with your right elbow behind your left leg.

Inhale, press your left hand against the floor behind your back, and push your right elbow against your leg. Twist your backbone from your waist to the left around its axis. Rotate your head to the left. Exhale, turn in your chin, release your hand and extend your legs back.

For another variation round your left arm and reach your right inner leg.
