Downward movement is seated in the sides of the legs from tops of the feet to buttocks. The heart rests centered on the feet with the energy from the top of the head moving down the back and into the seat, then from buttocks to the feet. At that point the descending energy turns upward.

Upward movement is from the folded legs, then to the hip crease and from there up the abdomen, chest, and over the top of the head.

Common misalignment – Balls of the feet pressed together, not turned up, heels not pressing together, knees off floor, back rounded, shoulders rounded and lifted toward ears.
