Okay, so we may have not stuck with the whole âkeeping it professionalâ thing yesterday. But we did manage to last until well after ten in the evening before giving in to our lust, so Iâd say thatâs a win. Then it was off to bed to work off our collective sexual energy before getting a solid nightâs sleep.
This morning, weâre off to an early start, having woken with the birds at the sunrise. After a few minutes of cuddling, Emma hopped up out of bed and said, âCome on! I need to know if Ogden is going to live.â
So now sheâs whipping up a fast breakfast while I shower (with a plastic bag over my handâvery sexy, I know) and try not to think about her naked body. Shutting off the water, I take a towel off the rack with a loud snap. Whistling, I dry off quickly, hoping to be all dressed and suave before Emma finishes preparing brunch. I fill the sink with hot water and spread some shaving cream on my face. Glancing at the man in the mirror, I see a guy who cannot stop smiling.
Itâs the series, I promise you. Nothing feels as satisfying as writing after such a long dry spell. Unless itâs you-know-what with the perfect woman after a self-imposed sex exile (or sexile, as I call it) while I was trying to crack the ending of the series.
My mind wanders to having Emma on my lap after dinner last night. She really is the perfect womanâwell, as perfect as they get, anyway. Sheâs so fun, and sexy, and smart. Gorgeous, too. That long, auburn hair of hers just does it for me. The lean curves and those long legs, too. Wow.
But itâs not just her looks. Thereâs so much more to her. Sheâs so committed to my book, and she has this general sense of optimism that keeps me going when Iâm tired of writing and feel like giving up for the day. Sheâs a real ball-buster too, which I donât mind in a woman, quite frankly. Not literally, of course. Were someone to literally bust your actual balls, that would be no bueno. I was referring to the âno excusesâ thing sheâs got going on. Just do it. Sheâs like a gorgeous Nike ad come to life.
Iâm torn between spending the next few weeks madly writing and telling NBO to do whatever the hell they want to my world so I can spend the entire time in bed doing very naughty things to Emma. But itâs not just the naughty things I want to do. I want to tell her everything Iâve ever thought, show her every word Iâve ever written, find out what she thinks about every topic under the stars. And between you and me, Iâve never wanted to do any of those things before. Iâve always been 100% certain those types of sentiments only existed in greeting cards men buy their wives to make up for decades of neglect.
