President Bomraka stared at the desk before him. The time was right, and even necessary, for him to formulate the agenda for the upcoming peace summit. It would set the tone for his entire third administration. Yet try as he did, he couldn’t concentrate on it.

He had thought the Thruppence administration had been unexpected, for him as well as many others. As a private citizen again, he’d watched from the sidelines as Thruppence treaded water well over his head. Bomraka did his best to lessen the damage by returning to his roots of community organizing. Then the unexpected happened, and he’d had this third chance come up to move the country forward from the driver’s seat.

And then, as soon as he’d started this Christian terrorist group had emerged, and challenged his authority with this situation of total insanity. It really seemed that we would have to wrap this up before he could get his head back into larger things.

His secretary was already busy taking on the workload that was until a couple of hours ago was Rosio’s, so he chose not to bother her with this additional task. Even if her schedule was less occupied, he wanted to take care of this himself. It took him several rings to get the directors of the FBI and NSA. He put them together on a conference call. Without preamble he launched into his new request - all of the information they could find on this Christian terrorist, on his desk within the hour.

Next, he ordered his new Chief of Staff to schedule a press conference with all the major networks.
