20 Bossa Nova
According to legend, you can actually power your Ford Fairlane with Brazilian cachaça, but I’d rather fuel a daiquiri with it, myself. This version mixes rum’s fiery cousin (the one from Rio that tastes like trouble) with the brandy-orange warmth of Cointreau, a splash of tangy cranberry, and the mellow hazelnut flavor of Frangelico for a surprising chocolatelike finish.
1½ ounces Cachaça 51
1 ounce Frangelico
½ ounce Cointreau
¾ ounce fresh lime juice
¾ ounce cranberry juice
1 tablespoon honey
3 cranberries
Combine the liquid ingredients and the honey in a blender with a ½ cup ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the cranberries.
