Self-Esteem, Self-Care, Self-Worth
When you are first diagnosed with PCOS, it may be tempting to go through a “why me?” period. Grieve the loss of what you thought your body should do. Then get excited about the small wins you are going to create every day.
Imagine going from feeling depressed, dismayed, and wondering, What is my body doing? to feeling exhilarated and marveling, Look what my body can do! That’s the purpose of a lifestyle strategy for better health. Self-care is the behavioral result of self-esteem; however, it is possible to fake it ’til you make it and then gradually build self-esteem with a commitment to self-care activities.
