The Wine to Try

Cairanne

The grapes that form Richaud’s Cairanne see destemmed maceration in cement tanks of just over two weeks, before aging in a mix of barrel and demi-muid. Evoking licorice and black currant, flecked with the pepperiness of drought-season herbs, it’s a muscular red for drinkers who expect nothing less from the southern Rhône.
