With cloths tied over their faces below the eyes, the insurgents waited until two of the three employees of Raesik Labs left the van to enter the building. As Caellum knocked out the guard at the front door, a student took his gun, entered the van and pointed the weapon at the employee who was stacking crates of vials. Another youth gagged the man and tied his feet and hands. Meanwhile, three others whisked the containers of serum from the van, ran three blocks and smashed them on the ground.

Then they split up to casually walk the streets in various directions and head toward to the nearest units to duck inside.

In quick succession came the sirens and the loudspeaker announcement of martial law blasting through neighborhoods, followed by cleared, silent streets.

In hindsight, the attendees at the next meeting realized their first heist was a feeble attempt to dam the tide of nanite vials. Next time an armed force was sure to accompany the loading of the van.
