Why not spend a few moments identifying the ‘outputs’ in your current setting? Devise your own classification system (some areas you could consider include: financial performance; intellectual development; personal development; contribution to society; spiritual growth; cultural contribution, and so on) and then rate the current outputs against what you believe to be realistically attainable. If there are any significant gaps, these are areas where re-visioning is probably needed. However, don’t forget to adopt the AI principle of focusing on the positives first. By first noting and valuing our strengths we provide the morale and motivation to work on areas of challenge.
