Okay, another real estate story. Except I have been to this locale. To the exact place. It’s in the oceanic version of the middle of nowhere. Pretty much where a certain renowned writer would sensibly have located it, if only he had been able to visit the region himself. Being something of a homebody, he never managed to do so. But he and I share an abiding fascination for the sea and what dwells therein.

Since he was never able to get to such a place, or any remotely (pun intended) like it, I thought I might try to do so for him, filling in the necessary gaps in unfathomable (hey, another pun!), unknown, eldritch, cyclopean, geographic lore on his behalf. I like to think he would have approved. Would perhaps even have responded with a knowing, sinister, smile.…
