After that night I don’t have to worry about tests, because I am seeing her whenever we can. Anywhere and anytime we can get next to each other, we do. When I am with her, the whole world is a drug. She is like a spit of wanted magic in my life. Houser Banks isn’t a living tomb anymore with Haley Ellyson pulling me back to the living like an anchor. She is the kind of girl who likes more to be without clothes than with, loves drinking tequila and eating the worm and can sing all the words to Neil Young’s song about his dead hound named King. She has a way of dragging her tongue over your body so you go drunk with it and touching you so soft you think your flesh might be on fire.

I work on memorizing her, the mole on her right rib and the feel of her tiny hairs growing around her nipples, the smell of her lady, which is like moss grown up on stones.

Always when I am with her, even though I’m high off it, I have a thought that I’m afraid of: Somewhere deep in me I’m scared that if I lose her it will be like losing a limb off my body and I’ll be left crippled for life.
