The Power of Advertisements!

Advertisements, such as those shown in Figure 10.9, are tailored to your posts, preferences, interests, and the pages you follow. You, too, can have access to this powerful tool! Let’s talk about this for a moment. You will get to experience Facebook marketing on your own page. Facebook will look at your posts and your friends’ posts and likes, and create a tailored advertisement section on your page every time you visit. Remember, I told you that the power of Facebook marketing is that it gets pertinent advertisements to the right people. What better way to advertise? The more you post, follow, and like things on Facebook, the more tailored your advertisements will be. You will see how advertisers do this when we advertise your fan page, which we have not built yet. We will do this in the next chapter, but I want you to start noticing the power of this new type of marketing. This is a screen shot from my personal Facebook page so you can see the advertising.
