To perform the chin-up:

Grab the pullup bar with your hands about shoulder width apart and your palms toward you.

Hang from the bar with your arms fully extended.

Pull yourself up by squeezing your lats hard and pulling your elbows down toward the floor.

Raise yourself all the way up until your chin passes the bar.

Slowly lower yourself down until your arms are straight.
