Food coloring: brown

2 cups (475 ml) strawberry jam (or your favorite flavor)

BAKE THE CAKE

To make two pie cakes, divide the undyed batter among four greased 8-inch (20-cm) round baking pans. Bake the cakes two at a time for 11 minutes, then turn and bake for another 11 minutes. Cool as directed in the recipe on this page.
