1. In a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey with the fennel seeds, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

2. Add the apple to the ground turkey mixture.

3. Using a spatula, combine the ingredients together gently, being sure not to overmix.

4. Using a spoon, scoop about 2 tablespoons of turkey mixture from the bowl and roll in your hands to form a ball. Pat the mixture down to reduce thickness, forming a small patty, and set it aside on a plate. Repeat with the remaining turkey mixture.

5. Heat a medium cast-iron skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray or olive oil.

6. Place 4 to 5 patties at a time in the skillet to cook in batches, cooking them for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Repeat until all patties have been cooked.

7. Patties are fully cooked when their internal temperature is 165°F. Serve warm immediately. To refrigerate patties for use in a later recipe, store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
