18 bunches of Kale

5 heads of Arugula (approximately 70 leaves)

30 medium organic carrots

3 organic lemons

Straight Green Energizer

2 ½ bunches of kale

10 leaves of arugula

3 med. organic carrots

1 squeeze of lemon

This recipe makes one 6-ounce glass of pure, green juice.

Blend all items in a juicer and squeeze lemon after the juice is poured into your cup. Enjoy.

If you were doing a straight green cleanse, where you only consumed green juice and water for seven days, you would just multiply the above shopping list by 4. This would provide you with 4 juices a day. You normally increase the amount of juice you consume when you are doing a juice fast so that you don’t get as hungry, and it flushes your body with insane amounts of nutrients.

Overall, the amount of produce you need to buy depends on the type of green juicing you are doing. Your overall goals might be to overcome a health problem, lose weight, cleanse the liver or kidneys, and increase energy level or a combination of things.

Trying to figure out what fruits and vegetables to buy once you are at the grocery store instead of calculating it out before you go will often lead to waste – not just of the food – but of money, so be sure to do a rough calculation before you go shopping and always bring your list!
