Pete Devine has a degree in biology and has worked internationally as an interpretive naturalist, national park ranger, river guide, teacher, archeologist, and outdoor educator. He has lived in Yosemite most of his life, where he has directed education programs for Yosemite Conservancy and NatureBridge (formerly the Yosemite Institute). Pete has hiked, skied, and cycled throughout Yosemite in every season and is an expert on the park’s history and natural history, specializing in its glaciers, Galen Clark, and Steller’s jays. He features in several “Yosemite Nature Notes” videos, including the viral “Frazil Ice” episode. Pete most enjoys sharing the awe of discovery in the park with both first-time and veteran visitors.
