‘The Inner Critic’ is the voice inside of us that tells us we’re unattractive, stupid, untalented and destined for failure. My Inner Critic loves to commentate on my work. Here is my critical monologue from points during writing this book:

“Why are you writing this book? What’s the point? You don’t have enough experience to be writing about this stuff. You’ve never written a book before. People won’t like you mentioning them. The teachers you quote are going to be pissed off. No one will buy it. You’re too precious over the material to have anyone edit it objectively. You will make some glaring errors that you’ll be embarrassed about for years. Who gives a shit about your opinion? Why not just write a bunch of exercises down instead of having big essays on improv self-help topics? Do you realise how niche this is? No one will be interested. You should get a real job: something more reliable than improv and acting...”
