How to Make Simple Syrup

1. Combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan.

2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

3. Stir continuously until all the sugar has dissolved and the liquid is clear. Make sure not to burn the sugar.

4. Remove from heat and store in a container for future use.

Note: Experiment with the ratio of water to sugar. For some infusions, thicker simple syrup may be more desirable.
