1. Nozzles:

The heart of any fountain display is the spray nozzle used to distribute the water. The effect that is obtained is directly related to the design of the nozzle itself and this component requires precision engineering. Some of the more basic kinds of nozzles will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

2. Smooth-Bore Nozzles:

Smooth-bore nozzles are used to achieve clear, smooth water columns. If a smooth bore nozzle is placed in a vertical position it will give the appearance of a crystal or glass like shaft supporting a frothing cascade at its summit. Smooth­bore nozzles placed at an angle maintain a clear shaft over the first part of the trajectory gradually breaking into a finer spray in its downward path.
