Elements of the Vision Statement

The vision statement defines and explains the school community’s technology use, including how it applies to and addresses the following:

Community

Treating and supporting students and their parents

Aspiration for students

Teaching and learning

The vision statement includes why the school is focused on using technology, how the school sees technology as part of what it does and offers students, parents, and others (for example, particular or special themes or missions, what the school sees as its core business, how technology can help the school better achieve and address its core, general vision), and who should use technology and why they should.

The vision statement answers the questions: what will the use of technology accomplish for the school, and what will the school accomplish with technology?

The vision may also include:

A statement about where the school is currently (with the use of technology) and where it wants to go in the future (in developing its technology use)
