The other evening my husband and I were watching a television show based on real events where a gentleman was convicted of a crime that he said he did not do.

The man seemed very sincere. The detectives didn't believe him, because all the physical evidence pointed to his guilt, so they gave him a polygraph test. The gentleman agreed to take it and passed the polygraph test.

The detectives still weren’t convinced, so they decided to run the test again. The gentleman passed again. Still, they didn’t believe him.

Over and over, the detectives put the gentleman through one test after another, phrasing the questions differently, and hoping to catch him in a lie. But the gentleman kept passing the test.

Eventually, the real criminal came forward and confessed to the crime, which finally got the detectives to believe the gentleman’s innocence.

Why did the gentleman pass the polygraph test? Because he was innocent, and he knew it. His belief in the truth was so rock solid that he answered the detective’s questions with unwavering conviction about his innocence. There wasn’t one shred of doubt in his mind about whether he was innocent.

You may be wondering why I’m sharing this story about the man and the polygraph test. During a polygraph test, electrodes are attached to various points on a person’s body to monitor physical reactions, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration and skin conductivity, to questions … and these reactions will determine whether the responses given to the questions are true or false. Now, think about your demand for a moment…

How convinced are you that

your demand will come to pass?

The level of your conviction about the outcome you desire must be so high that you believe it to your core. If you took a polygraph test and were asked if you believed you would attain your demand, would you pass?

How would you respond? How would your body react? Would the machine detect a wavering belief? How strong is your belief?

A polygraph is able to tell whether you’re sincere or not when asked certain questions. Although polygraphs aren't 100% accurate, they are in most cases. However, there are people who know how to fool them.

They fool them by believing so strongly in their answers with 100% certainty that their bodies never show the presence of a negative thought; never display a negative reaction and never doubt their conviction to the truth.

This is the sort of conviction you must have when you are visualizing your demand. It must feel true and real. If you're lying or you feel like you're lying, you are out of alignment with your dream.

Make sure you're in alignment.

In this instance, it is not about fooling anyone; It is about mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically becoming your demand.

There certainly will be times when you get off track – Everybody gets off track. Your job is to recognize when it happens, then just put yourself back on track as quickly as possible… and with all of this awareness, you can do it quicker than most.
