LIMITING FACTORS FOR THE PULL PATTERN
The following list highlights the five common limiting factors for the pull movement pattern:
1. Poor upper body strength balance
2. Poor connection with core (weak lifting muscles)
3. Poor exercise selection
4. Weak grip
5. Shoulder and scapula dysfunction
6. Weak elbow flexors
To improve the function of the pull pattern, these limiting factors should be addressed, in addition to improving the strength of the pull and the range of pulling ability. For this movement pattern, this would also include integrating the pull pattern with the lift and rotation patterns.
