There were a number of Great Victorian Explorers, who went all over the world actually painting the towns red as we can see from old maps of the British Empire. The best Victorian explorer was Dr Livingstone I. Presume, who discovered Africa, got lost and was found by Stanley.

Stanley wrote a famous account of their meeting: as he walked into the camp where Livingstone was all the Africans were so excited at the arrival of the stranger that the men all banged drums while the women ovulated loudly. As the two Great Victorians approached each other, the immortal words were uttered: ‘Another fine mess you’ve gotten me into, Stanley.’ This is because Livingstone I. Presume claimed he wasn’t lost at all and knew perfectly well where he was, but Stanley insisted on discovering him just the same, and Livingstone had to go back to England to his angry wife.
