COSMO DE PROVENCE

Made well a classic Cosmopolitan is a good drink – not my kind of drink, but one I can appreciate nonetheless. This version is a different story and I would never pass one up. It uses the lovely blend of savory, marjoram, rosemary, thyme and oregano which make up herbes de Provence, infused with citron vodka and orange liqueur, all of which result in a beautiful marriage of flavours.

FOR THE COCKTAIL

50 ml/1¾ fl oz Cosmo de Provence Mix

25 ml/¾ fl oz cranberry juice

2 bar spoons lime juice

2 bar spoons sugar syrup

4 drops Cranberry Bitters

coin of orange zest, to garnish

Place all the ingredients in a shaker, then fill with good-quality cube ice. Shake well until icy cold, then double strain into the glass. Squeeze a coin of orange zest to spray the oils over the drink and stem of the glass, then place on the surface of the drink and serve.
