The village awoke to Mollet’s cries for assistance. He brought Thief to the middle of the town square with a crimson sheet tied around his neck. Thief was stunned and too weak to even cry.

Soon the town Phaenix began to rush to the boy. A pair of healer Phaenix squatted down with a satchel of salve leaves. They began to assess the situation, getting more urgent in their observations. A few soldiers held Mollet back. He didn’t even realize he was still crying for help.
