2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon oregano

1 tomato, chopped

1/2 cup scallions, sliced

1/2 cup whipping cream

1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

8 ounces crab meat

8 ounces linguini, cooked

When you’re mind is wandering, yank it back on track with something to keep you busy (something besides shopping; I know those Jimmy Choos are calling to you, but you have to earn the money before you can spend it…unless you can buddy up to the folks at Visa). Start with sautéing the garlic and oregano in butter until as tender as new skin after a facial. Add the tomato and scallions, cook for three to five minutes.

Stir in the whipping cream and cheeses. Yes, I know how many calories are in that—you don’t have to eat it, just cook it. The whole point is to get your mind off the disappointment you’re just about to wreak on your new friends, human and bovine.

Add the seafood, then toss sauce with the linguini. Take a look at those long, straight noodles and tell yourself that the only choice is the one already in line with the ones you made before.
