It sure is wonderful being back together with our folks again. Both Liz and I had no trouble with them being gone on their vacation but when Yellowstone blew things really changed and we both needed them here with us and were worried about them the whole time until we all got back together again.

Last night all ten of us got together for supper and it was really a good time. Our folks got to really see our four new friends and they even found out some of how we met. Neither Liz nor I have told them yet exactly what took place but we will at some point. For right now Liz and I both are still trying to get over what we did on that day. Neither of us are sorry for the shooting but it was still quite an experience for us.

Walking back to the motel last night I was talking to Jon and asked what they did yesterday. He told me that he and Sam were hoping to buy a ranch together. He said if they did they would need a couple hired hands if Liz and I needed jobs. I don’t know if he was joking or not but I would take that job. I might bring up the ranch idea to my folks and see what they think of it.

It is sure going to be impossible to find a job anywhere now. The economy will be severely depressed they said on the news and with so many refugees that all need jobs and with the fewer jobs that are available it is going to be tough. The news said we could likely expect something like the great depression or even worse. To me that ranch thing seems better the more I think on it.

Jon said they were going to look at a couple more ranches today and I could ride along if I had nothing to do. I think I will ride with if I can catch them before they go. I left the motel room after telling Liz what I might be doing. She just told me to have fun and she would spend the day with her Mom and Dad.

Outside I saw Sam and Lynn and I asked them if I could ride with if they went out again today. They said they were just about to leave and of course I could ride along if I wanted.

We drove around and found two ranches that Sam had papers on but I guess they would not work for what Sam and Jon wanted. It was fun just riding with them anyway. There was not much to do and our folks were just waiting to find out about the disposition of the insurance on our houses.

When we got back in town I had no trouble finding my folks and spent the remainder of the day with them. They asked what I had been up to this morning and I told them about Sam
