Lylah looked out the kitchen window to see her two small children playing under the large apple tree, and smiled. She took a sip from her glass of water and walked across the tile floor and out the door to the front porch. She put a supportive hand under her eight-month-old pregnant frontal physique as she sat herself down in a wicker chair across from Charlie and Bucky.

“The kids love it here. We love it here! Thanks for having us, Bucky.”

Bucky looked at her and sighed in a relaxed way.

“This is home now. For all of us. You are always welcome here, now and always.”

He turned his head to hear the laughs and giggles coming from around the corner. He looked to Lylah’s belly.

“Have you thought of names yet?”

Lylah took a deep breath and looked to Charlie.

“We thought it was time to honor your parents. If you have no objections, that is.”

Bucky raised his eyebrows. Lylah continued.

“Evan, for a boy. And Carolyn for a girl. Maybe a continuing family naming thing? What do you think?”

“That sounds wonderful! Charlie?”

Charlie nodded.

“It’s settled then. Have you run it by the siblings for final confirmation?”

Lylah chuckled.

“They’ll agree. They don’t have a choice!”

They all laughed.

Lylah noticed that the children’s laughter from around the corner, got louder. Instinctively, she knew something was up.

“Stay away from the pond!” she yelled, and gripped her belly.
