Dyson nodded to the morning watch captain as he got his breakfast, and noticed that Lambert was sitting at what was quickly becoming their normal table. He took his breakfast there and sat down, asking, “How’s it going, Chief?”

She smiled at him. “Well, I now know how these ships can fold space.”

That perked Dyson up a little as he drank a little of his orange juice. He asked, “What makes them tick?”

She replied, “Not here and not in our quarters either, Joseph.”

He looked at her and nodded. “Remember, you’re my sister in this so call me Joe.”

Shaking her head, she replied, “I can’t do that, only because I know who we really are.”

He replied, “All right, we’ll meet back at the shuttle for our own inspection to make sure that the Empire hasn’t messed with it, and you can tell me there.”

“Good. I’ll see you there after my shift, little brother.”
