Chapter Fifteen

Bacon and eggs are the first thought in my head when I wake up. It smells like bacon and fried eggs. I roll over to my side, narrowing my eyes at the stray rays of sunset filtering into the room.

Memories of last night flood my brain, Zade and I spent the entire night fucking and making love to each other. Heat spread to my cheeks just thinking of everything. Fuck, I miss him, and my body is needy for him already.

Seeing as I’m the only one on the bed, he probably returned to his room while I was still asleep.

I slide out of bed and go to the bathroom to pee then wash my face before finding something to wear. There’s a fresh pair of sweatpants and a shirt on the edge of the bed, Zade must have put them there. How thoughtful of him.

I put on the clothes Zade left out for me and paddled to the hallway then followed the stairs to the kitchen. Today is Tuesday which means one of my staff is in the kitchen. She’ll be shocked to see me here, but I don’t care.

The moment I reach the kitchen, my legs freeze, and I can’t believe my eyes. My stomach flutters because it is not my stuff in the kitchen, it is Zade. He is the chef guilty of making the delicious bacon I smelt in my sleep.

I lean on the door frame, taking in the view in front of me. I wish I had my phone with me when I came downstairs because this moment is worth capturing on camera. I could peek at it whenever I’m sad and I know it makes me smile.

How can someone be this sexy when they cook? I honestly think looking as good as Zade does is a crime and he deserves to be punished—by me.

He is wearing sweatpants and his chest is bare, exposing his toned muscles and tanned body. His shoulders are so broad I want to run to him and wrap my hand around them, I’m not even sure they’ll go all the way around, but I’ll try.

His dark hair is matted to his face with sweat. From here, I’m able to get a good view of his side profile and I can attest he isn’t an ordinary man. He is a god, and he is perfection. His jaws are chiseled, his nose is just the right amount pointed and his lips aren’t too thin or too plum.

He’s like a character straight out of a Marvel cartoon and I’m completely taken by him. I don’t even feel embarrassed about it.

Zade senses my presence and tilts his head towards the door, our eyes meet, and I bite my lips as I struggle not to blush.

“Good morning.” He smiles and I forget how to breathe. Damn, he is so freaking hot and sexy. He barely smiles but when he does, his blue eyes sparkle and it ignites something in me—something that awakens butterflies in my stomach.
