Situation

Thad the Threatener is like Vlad the Impaler, only he does it with words instead of swords. He threatens you with a variety of tactics: going to your boss, going to HR, doing you physical harm, or whatever else he may have in his bag of intimidating tricks. He’s a verbal bully and an emotional blackmailer. You are afraid of him and you walk on eggshells around him. You are afraid to report him to HR or your boss because you fear the repercussions. He also watches you like a hawk and collects infractions to be used against you—you came in ten minutes late from lunch last Tuesday, you were five minutes late to work on Monday, and so forth. You can’t let him intimidate you.
