BOW BAR

Whatever their location, the

best bars in the world take the drinker on a journey of discovery: some into the flavours and culture that surround them, others to locations far away, giving a hint or a theme, often telling a story along the way. Bow Bar does something a little different. In fact, this little whisky bar based in Sapporo city transports the drinker effectively back in time, thanks to the insanely good selection of rare whiskies on offer. By rare, we don’t simply mean long-since-depleted limited edition bottlings, but whiskies from another time altogether.

Here you’ll find Scotch blends and single malts dating back to the 1930s and 1940s – once everyday whiskies from long since closed and demolished distilleries. Each time you peer into the glass, you take in the aroma of a bygone era, highlighting just how far whisky has come since then.
