When it comes to camera movement, the Steadicam is the mother of them all. It is the most expensive and it takes the most practice to master. Do not expect to order your $4500 Steadicam from Tiffen and be able to use it right out of the box. That will not happen. It takes a lot of practice—in fact, I suggest watching many tutorials before you even attempt to use it. The rig is designed to isolate the camera from your body, so the trick to the Steadicam is balancing the weight evenly. The best advice I can give you is just to walk normally and let the rig do the work for you.
