The presidential limousine rolled to a stop in the parking garage and someone quickly opened his door. The president stepped out and quickly headed for the situation room. After a short and silent walk the president sat down in a large plush chair at the head of the conference table. The secretary of defense and the chief of staff each pulled out a chair and also sat down. Several moments of strained silence passed before the chief of staff finally spoke, “Now what Sir?”

The president leaned back and rubbed his temples for a moment. Finally he turned, not to The chief of staff, but to the secretary of defense. “James, what else haven't you told me?”
