Clayton Scott is one of my favorite writers. I’ve edited a bunch of his work and I never tire of reading his stuff. “The Sentry” is no exception and I knew, even before I read it, that I’d be offering him a place in Fight or Flight.

“The Sentry” brings to mind The Terminator and the Borg—and perfectly embodies the relentless enemy that I had in mind. As Kyle Reese says, “It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear! And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!”
