Crosstraining and Step Exercise

Any exercise that places continuous, repeated stress on the same parts of the body can lead to injuries. That’s why crosstraining is a great idea. Instead of just jogging or running, supplement it with walking, cycling, or swimming. Cycling and swimming are perfect to improve your stamina and performance.

There’s another method of crosstraining we recommend that’s equally effective and even more accessible than cycling or swimming. It’s step exercise, which is ideal when the time of day or weather are making it difficult to enjoy a jog outside. Step exercise also improves your running because it builds stability in your ankles. Thirty minutes of step exercise during one part of the day and thirty minutes of slow jogging at another time of day is a great combination.
