ey, where’s Hu?” Mick asked anyone and everyone he ran into as he stormed down the hallway of the oceanographic station.

“Haven’t seen him,” was the answer he received from everyone.

“Well, he’s gotta be somewhere,” he would follow up with, and they would send him off to a random part of the ship where he might be.

He found himself in the mess hall, where a Dom Deluise look-a-like had sent him, and ran into Agnes and Jessica, who were eating cup-o-noodles and pouring over printouts, but no Hu. He was about to dash out to keep looking, but they caught sight of him and waved him over.

“There you are.” Agnes looked up. “We’ve been looking all over for you.” Her smile died when she saw the grim look on his face. “What’s wrong?”

“I need to find Hu, have you guys seen him?”

“Haven’t seen him,” Jessica refrained.

“Why do you need him?”

“I need to borrow his plane.”

“For what?”

“To go get my daughter back.”

He turned, skipping the pleasantries, and hustled out of the room.
