“Where the hell is your head, man? I never kick your ass this bad in Madden,” Cole says as he cracks another beer and hands it to me. I shake my head, trying to get my head into the game but I immediately start thinking about Heather again.

I’m sitting here next to the ultimate cock blocker playing a damn video game when I could be tucked in bed, possibly balls deep inside Heather right now, and he’s worried about me concentrating. What red-blooded male would be able to concentrate on anything other than the female down at the other end of the hall?

“Man, I can’t stop wondering what’s going on with the girls over there at Heather’s place,” I say before taking a sip of my beer.

“Man, how are you pussy whipped already? You haven’t even had a chance to hit that yet.” Cole chuckles as he plops down on the couch next to me.

“Not for lack of trying,” I mumble under my breath, hoping he doesn’t hear me, but no such luck.

“Oh, baby boy has grown a pair and decided to give his lady what she wants? What’s going on then, brother? Performance anxiety? They make pills for that.”

I pick up the closest thing to me and throw it at him, lucky for him it’s a pillow and not something harder. “There’s no performance anxiety! We keep getting interrupted. We got in some serious dry humping at my place a week or so ago, but other than that something always seems to happen, forcing us to stop. I thought tonight was finally going to be our chance, but your dumbass had to come and drag me out of there.”

Cole has the nerve to not even look apologetic about it, and he shrugs his shoulders. “Man, you weren’t going to be getting any tonight anyway. Heather has plans to interrogate the shit out of that chick Rachael. She swears that Rachael has the hots for you and is trying to steal you away.” I cross my arms over my chest, there is no way Heather would believe anything like that. I told her that nothing was going on there.

“Heather isn’t that insecure. I don’t see Rachael as anything but my little sister, and she knows that. Yea, we hang out a lot, but we’re neighbors.”

“Yea and Addy knew all about Vickie but still swore up and down I was messing around on her.” Shit, he does have a point. You never know what a woman is thinking – ever.

“I guess I should have a talk with Heather about it and explain what the deal is. Rachael seriously is nothing but a kid sister, she even said it herself. Her brother passed away a few years ago, and apparently I resemble him. She says she misses him less when we hang out.” I drink down the last bit of my beer.

“Have you lost your mind? Just let Heather do her investigating. She’ll figure out that there’s nothing between Racheal and you then she’ll leave it alone.
