Democracy Gottschalk was making his supper when his peedee rang. Seeing that it was a video call from Minister Bedford II, he sighed and shook his head.

“Hello?”

“It’s tonight,” Minister said.

“What’s tonight?”

“The assault on Building 11, of course!”

“I live in Building 11!” Democracy exclaimed, horrified.

“Good. Just come down and meet us outside the building at 9:30.”

“I will not be doing that!” Democracy said indignantly. “I’m not in the SA!”

“No one’s allowed to leave the SA.”

“I was never in the SA in the first place!” Democracy insisted. “I never signed up to be a member!”

“Your daddy signed you up,” Minister said.

“My father and I are estranged!”

“Don’t call your daddy strange!” Minister said. “You’re strange, but your daddy is a great man!”

“Don’t ever call me again! I’m not in the SA!” Democracy disconnected their call.

His peedee rang again a few seconds later, but Democracy ignored it.
