"You're sick," Troy said as he took a big bite out of his steak.

"That means a lot coming from you," I said as I bit into my sandwich.

I saw something in his eyes that told me that he was wrestling with a similar dilemma.

"We're both liars and whores," I finally said. "We're perfect for each other."

"I'm not sure about that," Troy said. "Though you were one of the better fucks I've had recently."

"Really? Do you really mean that?"

"Of course, why would I lie?"

"Fine, I've got to confess that you weren't half-bad yourself."

Troy smiled at that despite himself and tried to cover up the genuine smile by taking a sip of his wine.

After the meal finished, I was ready to resume our carnal activities, but just as I straddled him at the table, Troy just as quickly lifted me up with his strong arms and pushed me away.

"It's time for you to leave now, Lana. A man like me has to be careful who he lets into his life, and a girl like you is more trouble than she's worth, at least in my experience."

"There's nothing I can do to change your mind?" I asked hopefully.

"Well, there might be one thing..."
