Dear David,

Sorry, but I just don’t understand your game. I know it’s the most popular sport in the world, but what’s the big deal about guys running around some oversized lawn in their underwear?

Every time I see you and your Spice Girl wife strolling around Beverly Hills, you’re yelling, “Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!!!”

Get off it! You’re not the only star in town.

I actually went to a soccer match and enjoyed it. Watching two guys leap high in the air, bumping heads, and falling unconscious deserves a standing ovation. The point system was equally exciting—to sit there for twenty hours just to see a 0-0 score was a thrill. And when the fans, looking for even more excitement, started rioting, that was the best part of the day.

I’ll be back, only this time I’m bringing my pit bull.
