Cha-Ching City
Las Vegas was all that! Andre flew me in from Phoenix for a heavyweight boxing match at the MGM. Special boxing excursion trips to Las Vegas for Brits were offered at great prices. Many of Andre's friends from London were flying into Vegas, and he wanted me to hang out with them. According to boxing legend, the sport was said to have originated in Britain. At the boxing match where I met Emmanuel Steward in Bristol, England, the fans in the audience reminded me of a group of kindergarten kids in the classroom without a teacher. They were loud and obnoxious. The ringside seat holders in the United States were in for a treat. On the surface London appeared to be a conservative city. But go to a football (soccer) game or watch a Parliament meeting (congressional session) on television, and you will realize you got it all wrong.
Vegas fascinated me. The lights, glitz and glamor left little for my imagination. A kid could run wild with all of the stimulation. That's probably why no one under twenty-one years of age can walk through a casino unless accompanied by an adult. So what did kids and teenagers do when they came to Las Vegas with their parents? They went to expensive shows that were geared toward their parents. While in London I had come up with another kid-friendly business idea. On cold, rainy days, I spent a lot of time playing video games, but I didn't have all the games I wanted. What about a rental service of video games for kids stuck inside on rainy days?
